Higher Ed Content Marketing

For more than nine years, I have created and overseen content for the Golisano College at Rochester Institute of Technology in my role as Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications. This includes serving on the University's Strategic Branding and Marketing Council, alongside the CMO, and as chair of communications for committees and conferences, including the 2018 International Conference on Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management. I manage marketing and communications for RIT's largest college (approx. 4,000 of the university's 17,000 students), creating content, managing brand implementation, our website and social media, and creating and executing the college's content marketing strategy. 

Highlights


-Architected marketing operation for RIT’s Global Cybersecurity Institute, developing and executing targeted digital ad campaigns -- Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn -- that drove more than 2300% ROI for Cybersecurity Bootcamp enrollment. Led creative and strategy including video production, print, and budgeting, as well as mentoring business students through our co-op program.

-lead strategic marketing initiatives for the college, including helping drive a 30% YOY increase in software engineering enrollment, utilizing digital video assets I wrote, produced and directed to tell the program's story.

-Overhauled and streamlined university-wide communications through work on a three-year committee that evaluated all university-wide email, before implementing a new system - RITMail -- to give end users more control over their email subscriptions, reduce thousands of emails, and enable more focused communications and productivity.

When alum and inventor of the Kinect for Xbox, Alex Kipman, was returning to campus to give the commencement address. I wanted to communicate his achievements along with his connection to RIT, so I conceived of and executed an interactive ad in the Rochester airport terminal, where travelers could play Alex's invention and learn about his connection to RIT while waiting for their flights.
